    PAST ELECTION RESULTS

    In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly election, Partha Bhowmick of TMC defeated Phalguni Patra of BJP by a margin of 18,855 votes which was 12.18% of the total votes polled. A total of 1,54,767 votes were polled in the election, of which TMC got 77,753 votes which was 50.24% of the total votes polled.

    Partha Bhowmick (TMC) won the Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat, of which Naihati is a part of.

    The gazette notification for the Naihati bypoll was issued on October 18, 2024 (Friday), the last date of scrutiny of nominations was October 28, 2024 (Monday) and the last date of withdrawal of nominations was October 30, 2024 (Wednesday). This constituency voted on on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 and the counting of votes is happening on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

    In the 2021 Assembly elections the counting of votes was held on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
